First Night Morris Renews Focus on Giving Families the Perfect New Year's Eve Experience
The is the 22nd year for Morris County's annual Dec. 31 celebration of the arts.

Planning continues for theΒ 22nd annualΒ First Night Morris, theΒ county New Yearβs Eve tradition that promises a family-friendly, alcohol-free alternative for ringing in 2014.
Organizers' goal, they say,Β is to make the night memorable, and to accomplish this, the event wll featureΒ more than 80 entertainment offerings in 25 locations through downtownΒ Morristown, includiingΒ interactive elements,Β Β fireworks, community, artsΒ and almost everyΒ type of performance anyone could want to see.Β
Organizers say that this year's event is all about going back to basics to enhance each guest'sΒ βFirst Night Experienceβ with free shuttle buses to venues, an emcee on the MorristownΒ Green from 7 p.m.Β to midnight, information kiosks, a community expo, aΒ Future Artist Development initiative, children's programs (starting at 5 p.m.) and more.
Discounted early-bird single and four-pack pricing for First Night MorrisΒ is available through Saturday. The single ticket price goes toΒ $25 starting Sunday.
