Free Coffee at 7-11 on Thursday

7-11 will offer free medium-sized cups of hot coffee from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.—get it?—on Thursday, or National Coffee Day, according to a company spokesman.

And if you're asking why that's Jefferson news, it's because there's a 7-11 in at the BP gas station on Rt. 15 South in Lake Hopatcong.

Cappuccinos and lattes are also part of the deal.

Here are some 7-11 coffee facts, courtesy of the company:

• 75% of coffee drinkers admit that having a cup of coffee is part of their daily routine.
• 7-Eleven was the first retailer to offer fresh-brewed coffee in to-go cups, introducing it in their Northeast stores in 1964.
• Of all its proprietary products, 7-Eleven sells more fresh-brewed coffee than anything else – 1 million cups each day.  That’s more than 10,000 pots of coffee an hour every hour of every day of the year.
