Golf outing Raises Money for Challenger League

League allows players with mental or physical disabilities to shine.

More than100 golfers participated in the Jefferson Township Challenger Golf Outing took place on Monday at Crystal Springs Golf Resort. Β to help raise money for the Challenger Leagues in town. The Challenger League sports program started in 2007 to allow kids with mental or physical disability to participate in sports.

Golfers enjoyed a light breakfast and a barbecue lunch. Β Prizes were awarded for the top three teams.

The tournament was a scramble format, and the winners scored an impressive 10 under par on a course that included Cascades, which is the newest nine holes at Crystal Springs Golf Resort.
