Help The Jefferson Arts Committee and Have Fun All at Once

There are many ways you can help make the township a more fun place to live.

Do you like to help out and have fun while doing it? Do you like to act, sing or play an instrument? Do you like to organize events? Do you like Christmas? Okay, okay, enough with the questions. But if you like all these things, the Jefferson Arts Committee is right up your alley. There are a number of ways you can help out, and have a blast in the process. Here are just some of the things the arts committee has a hand in:

  1. The Gazebo Committee: The group does exactly what it sounds like: helps take care of the gazebo at town hall. In addition, the summer free concert series at the gazebo falls under this group’s jurisdiction.
  2. Christmas in the Village: If you love the holiday season, then this committee is for you. This group works on bringing Christmas in the Village to the Jefferson Township Historical Museum and surrounding buildings. This year's event is Dec. 2-4.
  3. The Community Players, Band and Chorus: Choose your method of entertaining others. If you act, do comedy, sing or play an instrument, you can join one of these and bring some joy to the people around you.
  4. Jefferson Township Day: The 25th annual Jefferson Township day jhappened on July 9. If you were there, you know what an undertaking it was. You can start now to help out in planning next year’s event.
  5. Want to Know More? Then go out and attend the arts at 7:30 p.m. at the Department for Persons With Disabilities on Catholic Charities Way off Weldon Road.
