Jefferson Rescue Squad Installs New Officers

Squad also gives awards for service.

In a night filled with accolades, awards and a party atmosphere, the installed its new officers and bestowed honors upon those who have served the town for many years at its dinner on Saturday night.

The squad installed the following line officers:

Chief: Kathy Jacoby

Assistant Chief: Tom Wood

Lieutenant: Anthony Romeo

Sergeants: Tom Terpenning, James Jackson, Matt Curasco, Maria DiMasi

Statistician: Tyrell Lashley

The following were installed as administrative officers:

President: Mike Grove

Vice-President: Kim Finnegan

Recording Secretary: Tom McCarthy

Secretary: Katrina Larson

Treasurer: Janet Hawkins

Losap: Harry VanNatta

The squad also installed a new group of trustees, including Cathy Collins, Liz DosSantos, Diana Gaffney, Dennis Walker and Joe O’Donnell.

Jefferson Mayor Russell Felter presided over all installations.

The ladies auxiliary also installed new officers. They include:

President: Janet Wilheim

Vice-President: Nancy Reid

Secretary: Priscilla Moran

Treasurer: Barbara Tietz

Trustees: Jean Madden, Cynde Sorce, Pat Carroll

The squad also gave out a number of honors, including CPR honors to those who had saved lives during 2010 using CPR.

Many were honored for length of service, including TomMcCarthy for 40 years and Les Coley for 35 years.

Past Chief Finnegan bestowed Chief’s Award honors on Joe O’Donnell, Kathy Jacoby and Jessica Grove.
