Joel Headley, Guitar Afficionado

Joel Warren Headley, 24, died at home unexpectedly on April 17. 

Joel was born in Denville and lived his whole life in the Milton section of Jefferson Township. He was a 2006 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. He attended Bloomsburg University. Joel worked as a technician for C & R Audio Visual in Wharton, NJ.

He is survived by his loving parents, Bruce and Susan, his brother, Ryan and his wife, Amanda, his sister, Erin, his brother, Adam, his nephew, Benjamin, and was the beloved grandson of Elwood and Charlotte Headley. He is also survived by his many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. 

A self-taught rhythm guitarist and percussionist, Joel was not only artistically spectacular to listen to, he had a technical proficiency in the art of music and the passion and patience to teach. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 6 at  4 p.m. at the Milton United Methodist Church , 316 Dover Milton Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438. 

Donations in Joel’s memory may be made directly to the family for their time in need. The Goble Funeral Home in Sparta is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
