The Jefferson Township Golden Falcon Marching Band placed second with a score of 87.10 and also won the award for Best Music in the NewΒ Jersey State Championship Marching Band Competition.
The band performed its show βPictures at an Exhibitionβ before the Pope John vs. Jefferson Township football game on Saturday October 22. Β Immediately after their pre-game show, they traveled to Sayreville for the competition.
The following day, the band competed again at the Greater New York/New Jersey Metro Regional Championships at West Essex Regional High School in North Caldwell.Β The Band placed second again with a score of 89.15 and also won awards for Best Auxiliary and Best Percussion.

The band is under the direction of director Rich Barrieres, assistant band director Lauren Kulick, percussion instructor Justin Kulick, drill instructor Ed Bopp, and color guardΒ instructor Tracey Sinatra.
The bandβs final competition will be at the Atlantic Coast Championship on Saturday at Avon Grove High School in West Grove, Penn.Β The Atlantic Coast Championship will feature the top 14 bands from the Atlantic Coast Region, comprised of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.
