Lakefront Liquor Licenses Could Be Revamped
Jefferson officials visiting local bars to learn about success of outdoor seating.

The Jefferson Township Council is considering amending liquor licenses tailored to tent and outdoor seating, but officials first want to learn of the success of offering an outside bar atmosphere from existing establishments.
Officials have said they will be visiting lakefront bars and restaurants in Jefferson with existing tents and outdoor seating to help determine whether liquor licenses should be amended to conform to outside dining, according to AIM Jefferson. One bar, in particular, has agreed to limit the hours of service in the establishment if allowed to keep a tent, the newspaper reported.
Visits to the bars and restaurants will be conducted through October.
