Man ‘Ejected’ From Motorcycle Dies Following Morris Co. Crash

The man was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center following the crash.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A man was pronounced dead last week after being thrown from his motorcycle following a crash in Morris County, according to police.

On Thursday, around 8:15 p.m., Jefferson Township police were called to Cozy Lake Road in the area of Wild Rose Road on a report of a crash.

First responders found that Peter W. Joyce, 57, of Oak Ridge, had been “ejected” from his motorcycle following a collision. Police attempted life-saving measures on Joyce before he was air-lifted to the Morristown Medical Center.

Joyce was pronounced dead at the hospital the following day. Services will be held for him this weekend in Oak Ridge, according to his obituary.

Officials added that there were no other vehicles involved in the incident.
