Morris County Vo Tech Offers Enviromental Science Program at Jefferson High School
Interested eighth graders have until Dec. 2 to apply.

JEFFERSON, N.J.βThe Morris County Vocational School District is offering a high school Academy for Environmental Science at Jefferson Township High School and interested eighth graders have until Dec. 2 to apply.
According to Morris County Communications and Digital Media Manager Larry Ragonese, the Academy for Environmental Science "provides students with the interdisciplinary study of natural processes and human impacts in the atmosphere, aquatic systems, and soils."
The program "links the principles of art, history, language arts, technology, biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics to environmental concepts," he added.

Jefferson Township High School is surrounded by forest and parkland, "providing the perfect backdrop for
studying about the environment," according to Ragonese.
"Because of its unique placement, experiential learning can occur right outside the door," he said.

According to Ragonese, students β after graduating high school βwill have the foundation to pursue a degree in environmental studies.
