Napa Auto Parts Wins Babe Ruth Baseball Championship

The team defeats Rockaway Vending by an 8-3 margin.

The Napa Auto Parts team is the champion of Jefferson Township Babe Ruth baseball after defeating Rockaway Vending by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday night.

After going down 3-0, Rockaway Valley came back to tie the game at 3-3 on Tyler LaMantia’s three-run double.

But Napa’s hitting proved to be too powerful for Rockaway Vending to overcome.

β€œIt was a great season for both teams, despite the rain,” said league president Frank Cuccio before handing out the first-place trophies to Napa Auto Parts. β€œBoth teams played a great game.

β€œI also want you all to know that having talked to umpires over the course of the season, I’ve been told they are very impressed with the quality of play here in Jefferson,” Cuccio added.
