Oak Ridge Resident Pleads Guilty to DWI, Eluding Charges in Newton
Christopher Gibney allegedly was driving under the influence and attempted to flee after being pulled over in Hardyston, police said.
A Jefferson Township man pleaded guilty to attempting to elude police after he was pulled over for alleged intoxication, according to Sussex County Prosecutor David J. Weaver.
Christopher Gibney, 48, of Oak Ridge, appeared in state Superior Court in Newton Nov. 12 and admitted to third-degree eluding, driving on a suspended license and driving while intoxicated.
Last March 30, police said Gibney, who allegedly was under the influence and had a suspended driver's license, was pulled over by police officers in Hardyston and then made an attempt to flee.

Gibney is expected to be sentenced by Superior Court Judge Thomas J. Critchley on Dec. 20.
