
Patricia A. (Kamph) Vajsabel, 84, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011.
She was born in Bedford Hills, NY, and attended Good Council College in White Plains, NY. Β She later married her beloved Joseph in 1952 and they started their family in Linden.
After moving to Garwood, NJ she began substitute teaching at St. Anneβs School where she later accepted a permanent teaching position. Β She became known as one of the most beloved teachers of St. Anneβs.

In 1979 she moved to Oak Ridge where she became a substitute teacher at the Jefferson Township High School. Β Her years of experience and her ability to connect with her pupils made βMrs. Vβ a favorite of both teachers and students. She was an enthusiastic fan at many high school basketball games.
Pat was an avid knitter, making hundreds of sweaters, scarves, and decorative afghans. Β While in Jefferson Township she donated an afghan each year for the Music Dept. and the Language Arts Dept, which has since named their annual scholarship βThe Patricia Vajsabel Language Arts Award.β

Pat was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1988.
She leaves behind her loving children Peter and Stephen Vajsabel, both of Oak Ridge, NJ; Anne Vajsabel of Hyde Park, NY; her brother Harry Kamph of Bedford Hills, NY; her sister Mary Ann of Hyde Park, NY, and hundreds of former students whose lives she influenced.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, Nov. 21 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 10:30 am at St. John Vianney RC Church, 2823 Route 23 South, Stockholm, NJ 07460.
Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Oak Ridge, NJ.
