Pilewski Receives Eagle Scout Honor

Timothy Pilewski received Eagle Scout Honors at last week’s Jefferson Township council meeting.

Pilewski’s project was two-fold: he worked with Grace Rhinesmith, the township’s recreation director, to build and install seven picnic tables at Camp Jefferson. In addition, he designed and planted a garden at the playground on Cherry St. in Lake Hopatcong. He put a selection of perennials, including butterfly bushes, in the garden.

“I can remember playing there a lot as a kid, and I wanted to make it look nice,” Pilewski said.

Pileweski’s parents and Jerry Ochs, his scout leader, were on hand to watch him receive his honor.
