The front porch of an apartment on Route 15 caught fire on Monday night, police said.
Police were called to the fire at 11:37 p.m. on Monday, and found the front porch of one of the apartments engulfed in flames, they said. Police believe there were two apartments on the premise, but neither of the tenants was in their homes when the fire department arrived.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Fire company no. 2 was first to arrive on the scene, followed shortly after by company no. 1, police said. Jefferson police det. Steve Muller also responded to investigate.
