POLL: How Has the Economy Hurt You the Most?

Do you feel like no matter how hard you try to save money, the bank account is really crying out for a refill at the end of every month? Does the or have more of your money than you do? Or maybe one of the many gas stations in town? There’s a reason for that. According to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics, the consumer price index has risen 2.6 percent in the past year.

What that means is that everything, including food, shelter, energy and entertainment, has gone up in price. But the bureau also said that wages have only risen about 0.6 percent.
