POLL: Should the Monday Night Football Theme Song Be Changed?

It’s Monday, and tonight many of us will be watching Monday Night Football, especially since the Jets are playing.

However, after some commentary from Hank Williams, Jr., comparing President Barack Obama to Hitler, his song β€œAll My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night,” with the iconic line, β€œare you ready for some football” was pulled as the opening theme song for Monday Night Football during last Monday’s contest between Indianapolis and Tampa Bay. The National Anthem replaced it.

ESPN said it pulled the song because Williams Jr.’s β€œdisappointing” comments.

Williams, Jr. has said his comments were β€œmisunderstood.”

ESPN is said to be contemplating cutting ties with Williams, Jr. It is unclear whether the song will be played at the start of tonight’s Jets-Dolphins game.
