Project Stay Gold Sponsors Awareness Walk
Walk Against Traffic offers wrist bands and t-shirts.
rolling along with another event in June, this one a "Walk Against Traffic,β to bring awareness to the fight against modern day slavery.
Eighth grader Kylie Matricola organized the event that raised not only awareness but funds forΒ Project Stay Gold.
"Kylie did a fantastic job. Her dedication to the cause is admirable and she is a great role model for others,β said eighth grade teacher Sharon Ciliento. βThis is an important issue that needs to be brought into the light and this event helps us accomplish that."Β

The walk began at the gazebo at the Municipal building, wound its way down Weldon road and through the school fields before ending back at the gazebo. Participants purchased t-shirts and wristbands to support the cause.
