Robert Bush Promoted to Police Sergeant

Robert Bush was promoted to sergeant at last week’s Jefferson Township council meeting.

Bush has been a member of the department since 2000. He was assigned to the patrol division. He earned commendations and awards that include an honorable service award, and an educational achievement award.

Bush also received commendation for his participation in an Essex County Anti-Crime partnership drug and gun task force which netted three kilos of cocaine, more than $20,000 in cash, four handguns and other contraband, along with many arrests.

Bush has also been assigned to the police department mountain bike unit and is a department field training officer.

He will be assigned to the patrol division as a patrol shift supervisor.
