Rotary Arts Festival on Tap for Saturday

Artists, singers and dancers will be on hand.

The Jefferson Rotary Arts Festival is coming up on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lakeside Field, and the Rotarians say there is a lot to look forward to.

More than 30 vendors are slated to show their works that day. In addition, there will be entertainment from singers, bands and dancers.

Two of the artists who will have work on display are Linda Rossin and Sue Miller.

Rossin, who is renowned for her wildlife work, has a studio on Berkshire Valley Road.

Miller, a Lake Shawnee resident, is an internationally known artist who also gives art lessons.

A suggested donation of $1 for adults will be collected for admission. Refreshments will be available affordable prices for families.

Proceeds from the day go into a common fund that is used for the Rotary’s high school scholarship program and children’s Christmas party.

The Jefferson Rotary also contributes to the Jefferson food pantry, and to Rotary International, which participates in a number of projects, including polio eradication.

Rain date for the festival is Sunday Sept. 25.
