Board of Ed Meeting, Library Program Postponed Due to Weather

Snow … it’s becoming like an old friend around here, one you can count on to visit you at least once a week. Stay with Patch to find out everything you need to know to get you through the latest storm. In the meantime, here are some things you need to know today (we usually do 5 ... but here's a few extras too!).

Note: Snow plays havoc with schedules, so check before heading out to activities set for today. We'll be updating this list if any information about closures or delays comes in too:

  • You Need to Know About the Library: It will open at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 18, due to the inclement weather.
  • You Need to Know About Schools: Schools are closed today, Jan. 18 due to the inclement weather.
  • You Need to Know County Offices Are Opening Late: They're set to open at 10 a.m., also due to the snow and ice.
  • You Need to Know About : This program which was postponed on Jan. 11 because of bad weather, is postponed again because of bad weather. It will be held on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m.
  • You Need to Know About the Board of Education: The meeting scheduled for  at the high school media center at 8 p.m has been canceled. No new date has been set.
  • You Need to Know About Sports: And there are many to choose from—at least there are supposed to be. We'll be back with news of whether any sporting events are postponed or canceled due to the weather. So far: The match against Sussex Tech at 4 p.m.has been postponed, with no new date, and the  team match-up against Vernon at scheduled for 7 p.m. on Jan. 18 has been moved to Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.  The boys basketball game scheduled to take place at Vernon high school on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. has been rescheduled to Jan. 24. The hockey game pitting Jefferson against Marlboro scheduled for Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. has been postponed. No new date has been scheduled.
