Search For Man Who Fell Off Boat, Missing In Lake Hopatcong: Cops
A storm postponed the search, New Jersey police said.

A 24-year-old man went missing in Lake Hopatcong overnight after he fell off a boat, police said.
The search was called off Saturday night for the man, who was not identified, police said. A storm postponed the State Police's search until Sunday.
The incident was reported at 7:42 p.m. when the man fell off a vessel and did not resurface, police said.

The State Police Marine Unit and Jefferson Township Fire Department will likely resume the search on Sunday morning, police said.
Witnesses told nj.com said the incident happened near Main Lake Market on South New Jersey Avenue. “Someone sounded an alarm in the store as the suspected boater went overboard, in what two eyewitnesses said was off the front of a pontoon boat,” Dan Gunderman told nj.com. “Emergency responders were on the scene immediately and entered the water right away.”

A second section of Lake Hopatcong is now safe for swimming, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection announced on Thursday.
Henderson Cove now joins Indian Harbor as the only two places in the lake with levels of cyanobacteria low enough to allow safe swimming. The two coves are adjacent to each other.
