
Three Republicans will run for seats unopposed in the primary on June 5.
Councilmen Richard Yocum, Robert Birmingham and Jay Dunham all entered the race for three-year terms prior to the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday.
No Democrats filed for election. Independents have until the primary to file.

The three are running on the same ticket. Yocum, the current council president, is running for his fifth term on the council, as if Birmingham. Dunham will be running for his first full term on the council, as he was serving a portion of the term of , who left the council when he retired and moved out of state. This will be their first time running together.
