We don't think it's going to, but just in case, here are a few things to do beforehand.

Here at Patch, we don’t believe that, but, if you’re of that mindset, here are five things you should do before the world ends, and places in Jefferson where you can do them.

  1. You Can Go to Church: And there are plenty of choices around town. They include , , , , , , and .
  2. You Can Get Some Food: Head out to or to stock up on canned goods, water, and other necessities for getting through a natural disaster.
  3. You Can Get Home Supplies: Perhaps you’d like to board up your house against any coming natural disaster. Head to or Headley Lumber to stock up on wood, or Jefferson Hardware for any other necessary tools.
  4. You Can Get a Drink: If the world is going to end anyway, we might as well go out with a bang, right? Head out to the ,, Gatwyn’s, the Still Charley’s,the Sneaky Pete’s, or any number of local watering holes and get a little liquid refreshment for yourself.
  5. You Can Get Ice Cream: See above, only substitute ice cream for alcohol. Head out to Jefferson Dairy or and get the biggest sundae your tummy can hold. And if the world does end, there won’t be any diet diaries to worry about on Monday.
