Welcome to a new feature here at Jefferson Patch—“A Picture and a Paragraph.” It’s exactly what it sounds like, really. We’ll post a picture, and write a short paragraph about it. Maybe it will be a photo of an event that already happened, or something that didn’t make a past photo gallery. Maybe it will be something that we see that catches our eye. In any event, it will be something fun for you to look at.
We’d like to invite you to submit your pictures for “A Picture and a Paragraph” as well. You can send the photo to editor Sue Toth, susan.toth@patch.com. You can write your own paragraph, or just give us a quick description and we’ll write the paragraph. It’s up to you. Have fun choosing your photos! (But remember, Patch is a family-friendly publication!)
Today's photo might look just a little bit "off" for this time of year. But here's what we thought: it's real hot out, and has been for several days, even weeks now. Some of you might be getting a little tired of the heat, and want to think cool thoughts. Some of you might even be the type to start your Christmas shopping in July. So if that's the case, we thought we'd give you a some motivation with this photo of the fully decorated Christmas tree that graced the gazebo at the municipal building during the holiday season of 2010.
