Wood Carvers Make Life More Beautiful

Welcome to today's Picture and a Paragraph.

Today's Picture and a Paragraph shows Mike Shatt of the Jersey Hills Woodcarvers making what will become a flower. The Jersey Hills Woodcarvers group keeps the art of wood carving alive. The group meets on the first, third and fifth Thursdays of the month at the Jefferson Township High School woodshop room, when school is in session.

Welcome to “A Picture and a Paragraph.” It’s exactly what it sounds like, really. We post a picture, and write a short paragraph about it. Maybe it will be a photo of an event that already happened, or something that didn’t make a past photo gallery. Maybe it will be something that we see that catches our eye. In any event, it will be something fun for you to look at.

We’d like to invite you to submit your pictures for “A Picture and a Paragraph” as well. You can send the photo to me, susan.toth@patch.com. You can write your own paragraph, or just give us a quick description and we’ll write the paragraph. It’s up to you. Have fun choosing your photos! (But remember, Patch is a family-friendly publication!)
