About $100K Raised For Jersey City's Annual Toy Drive

"I just want to express a special appreciation to all the generosity from the Jersey City community," Mayor Steven Fulop said.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Christmas for Jersey City families in need will be a little brighter thanks to the recent generosity of strangers.

When the city kicked off its recent 25th annual toy drive, the community's support did not disappoint. Residents were asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy for children up to 12 years old by Friday, Dec. 3.

According to Mayor Steven Fulop, thanks to the kind hearts of many who call Jersey City home, the city was able to raise about $100,000 — which will go a long way in bringing smiles to kids in need this Christmas.
