JERSEY CITY, NJ — Navigating seafaring vessels is often difficult for those in a wheelchair. In fact, it's true of a lot of public spaces, from subway stations to playgrounds.

But the Reeve Foundation, founded by late actor Christopher Reeve and his late wife Dana, has come to the rescue.

"The Impossible Dream will be making its way up the East Coast this summer and will be docking in Jersey City, NJ this Friday, June 21," the Foundation announced this week.

The boat is part of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s "Outdoors for Everyone" initiative meant to make key outdoor spaces more accessible.

"Alongside key outdoors partners, like the Impossible Dream (an accessible catamaran), the Reeve Foundation is educating the public about water accessibility for wheelchair-users and the disabled community," said a spokesperson.
