Family Of Teen Girl Shot To Death In Jersey City Seeks Support
"Cianna's life was tragically cut short...after a celebratory dinner with her family," says the fundraiser for the Jersey City teen.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — After a 15-year-old girl was shot to death in Jersey City on Saturday, supporters have started a fundraiser for her. READ MORE: 2 Family Members Shot In Car
"Cianna Lee was a vibrant and loving young 15 yr old young girl, who was born in Jamaica. She moved to the United States to be with her father and to pursue greater opportunities for her future," says the fundraiser.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said that around 11 p.m. Saturday, the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a shooting in the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Union Street in Jersey City. Cianna and a female relative were found inside a vehicle on Oak Street with gunshot wounds.

Cianna was taken to Jersey City Medical Center and pronounced dead Sunday at 1:20 a.m. The other woman is in stable condition, prosecutors said.
"Cianna’s life was tragically cut short when she was senselessly shot in her car after a celebratory dinner with her family," says the fundraiser. "She was on her way home from dropping off a relative when this heartbreaking incident occurred. Her family is devastated by this sudden and unimaginable loss. They are now faced with the overwhelming costs of planning her funeral."
