NJ Basketball Star Arrested At High School For Sex Assault, Report Says

A basketball star at St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City was arrested on campus for sexual assault, a report says.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A star basketball player at St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City was arrested on campus this week for a sexual assault that occurred in another state, NJ.com reported.

Keiner Asprilla was charged as a "fugitive from justice" for a crime that occurred while he was on a recruiting trip to the University of Missouri on Sept. 20, the outlet reported.

Asprilla, a 7-foot-1 center, has been called the "most drafted player" in New Jersey high school basketball.

A spokesperson for St. Peter's Prep said Friday, "As a private school, Saint Peter's Prep's policy is not to comment publicly on any personal matters involving students, faculty, or staff. We do this to respect the privacy rights of the individuals concerned."
