19 Rabbits Rescued From Hoarding Situation, Taken To Popcorn Park
The rabbits, taken from Newark, are available for adoption at the Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park Shelter.
LACEY, NJ — Nineteen rabbits, including baby bunnies, were recently rescued from a hoarding situation by Associated Humane Societies - and now you can take one of them home with you.
The rabbits were taken from a Newark situation where there was overbreeding and overcrowding on March 22, and were brought to the Popcorn Park and Tinton Falls shelters, AHS shared on their website.
Males and females were separated, as the veterinary team quickly began to assess their conditions, administer vaccines and treat any medical needs, AHS said. The females began to be spayed to prevent future births.

"Though the 19 rabbits are a bit underweight, we were relieved to find that most appear to be in generally good health," AHS said.
These rabbits, in spite of their hardships, are very sweet and friendly, AHS said. They've been given new crates with fresh bedding and hay, and tons of toys.

But they're ready to hop over to their new homes, just in time for Easter. All of the bunnies are available for adoption. Check out pictures of these cute rabbits on the Popcorn Park Shelter Facebook page. You can see which ones you can adopt on their Petfinder page.
