Dirt Bike Stolen From Shed, Drunken Drivers Reported: Lacey Police Blotter
Police responded to these incidents and more in Lacey during the month of November:
LACEY, NJ — Two jack hammers were stolen from Home Depot, drunken drivers were reported and more throughout the month of November, according to Lacey police.
Police released their monthly blotter for November, outlining notable incidents officers responded to during the month.

Nature: DWI
On Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 20:54 hours, Officer Julian responded to Lawrence Drive for an erratic driver. Upon arrival Officer Julian located the vehicle and identified the driver as 51 year old, Stephanie Banasky of Waverly, NY. Based on the investigation Stephanie was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. She was processed and charged with DWI and Reckless Driving. Stephanie was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 19:22 hours, Officer Labbate responded to the area of Route 9 and Old Shore Road for a report of a hit-and-run. It was reported a vehicle struck a sign and continued driving. Officer Labbate located the vehicle, conducted a motor vehicle stop, and identified the driver as 70 year old, Clifford Keen Jr. of Ocean Township. Based on the investigation Clifford was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Leaving the Scene of a Crash, and Failure to Report a Crash. Clifford was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 23:36 hours, Officer Walsh responded to the area of Lacey Road and Manchester Ave for a report of an erratic driver. Officer Walsh located the vehicle fitting the description and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Officer Walsh identified the driver as 34 year old, Garrett Reilly of Beachwood. Based on the investigation Garrett was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples. Garrett was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Friday, November 7, 2025 at 15:27, Officer Walsh and Detective Flynn responded to Newport Road for a report of a theft. Officers met with the homeowner who reported that an unknown subject(s) forcibly entered his shed and stole a dirt bike. There are no suspects at this time and the incident remains under investigation.

On Friday, November 7, 2025 at 19:49 hours, Officer Walsh conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 9 and Taylor Lane for headlights required. The driver was identified as 25 year old, Ian Dyer of Brick Township. Based on the investigation Ian was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Open Container, and Headlights Required. Ian was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 20:48 hours, Officer Lepeshko responded to Wawa, 444 South Main Street, Forked River, for a theft report. It was reported by staff that an unknown female stole $29 worth of food items. A description was provided, however the suspect has not been identified at this time. The incident remains under investigation.

On Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 20:57 hours Officer Hyle responded to Walmart for a theft report. Officer Hyle met with Asset Protection and the suspect 61 year old, Mildred Hill of Ocean Township. The investigation revealed that Mildred stole $38 worth of merchandise. As a result, Mildred was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting. Mildred was released pending a future court appearance.

On Monday, November 10, 2025 at 13:43 hours, Officer Zacco conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Beach Boulevard and Cape Cod Drive for speeding. Officer Zacco identified the driver as 43 year old, Andrew Wrazen of Forked River. Based on the investigation Andrew was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Andrew was processed and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Speeding, and Suspended Driver. Andrew was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 17:48 hours, Officer Brown responded to the area of Route 9 and First Street for a report of an erratic driver. Officer Brown located the vehicle in a business parking lot and identified the driver as 43 year old, Jeffrey Szczyepanek of Ocean Township. Based on the investigation Jeffrey was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples. Jeffrey was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Monday, November 17, 2025 at 19:30 hours, Officer Tirella responded to Station Drive for a report of a theft. It was reported by a homeowner that several packages had been stolen from the front porch between September and November of this year. The incident remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:48 hours, Officer McKee responded to Home Depot for a theft report. It was reported by an employee that an unknown male entered the store on November 16th and stole two jack hammers from the tool rental section for a total loss of $5,500.00. The incident remains under investigation.
Nature: Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 18:18 hours, Officer Zacco conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 9 and Laurel Boulevard for an illegal U-turn. The driver was identified as 33 year old, Edward Reynolds of Staten Island, NY. The investigation revealed Edward had five outstanding warrants for his arrest. Edward was placed under arrest and later posted bail. He was released pending future court appearances.

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 20:47 hours, Officer Labbate conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lacey Road and Lake Barnegat Drive North for failure to maintain lane. The driver was identified as 47 year old, Jonathan Garcia of Forked River. Based on the investigation Jonathan was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was processed and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. Jonathan was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 22:45 hours, Officer Fusciello conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lacey Road and Deerhead Lake Drive for failure to observe a traffic signal. The driver was identified as 50 year old, David Evans 3rd of Manahawkin. Based on the investigation David was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. David was processed and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Observe Traffic Signal. David was released in accordance with John’s Law.

On Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 00:03 hours, Officer Hyle attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lacey Road and Carriage Road for careless driving. The driver disregarded Officer Hyle’s signals to stop and fled. Officer Hyle did not initiate a pursuit and followed up with an investigation, identifying the driver as 19 year old, Alex Rasiul of Little Egg Harbor. As a result, Alex turned himself in at Lacey Twp PD Headquarters and was charged with Eluding and various motor vehicle summonses. He was released pending a future court appearance.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, at 13:00 hours, Officer Tranz responded to Firestone, 344 North Main Street, for a theft report. It was reported by staff that an unknown person(s) stole numerous recently delivered tires, with a value of approximately $2,100. The incident remains under investigation.
