4 DWI Arrests Made In Lacey Last Week: Police Blotter

On Thursday, Dec. 9 at 9:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to Annapolis Lane in reference to a minor motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, it appeared that a vehicle driven by John Camerato of Barnegat collided with a portable basketball hoop. Further investigation led to the arrest of Camerato after being deemed under the influence. Prior to being released, Camerato was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing, Failure to Maintain Lane and Failure to Report a Motor Vehicle Accident.

On Friday, Dec. 10 at 12:11 a.m., officers responded to an overturned vehicle on Lacey Road. The vehicle was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway and collided with a tree causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver, Brennan Foley, was uninjured during the crash and ultimately placed under arrest for being under the influence. He was issued summonses for DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane.

On Saturday, Dec. 11 at 2:55 p.m., Officer Michael Hein met with the manager of ShopRite who reported a theft. The manager stated that an unknown female entered the store and took several plastic bags from the end of one register. Afterward, the female walked around the store placing items in the bags. Rather than returning to the registers, the suspect was seen exiting the store without making payment. Surveillance video is being used to identify the actor.

On Sunday, Dec. 12 at 12:44 a.m., officers were requested at an Ash Road residence after the homeowners reported a suspicious person on the property. The home’s Ring camera captured a male suspect attempting to enter several locked vehicles in the driveway. The suspect fled the area prior to the arrival of officers.

On Sunday, Dec. 12 at 8:46 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to a motor vehicle accident on Beach Boulevard. The investigation revealed that an eastbound vehicle struck a parked car at the 1600 block of Beach Boulevard. The driver, Anthony Medina, was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest. Medina was charged with DWI and Reckless Driving.

On Sunday, Dec. 12 at 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lacey Middle School parking lot for a single-car motor vehicle accident. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver for being under the influence. Grant Dula was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane.
