5th Annual Run The Pines For Canines 5k Coming Up

The 5th Annual Run the Pines For Canines around Bamber Lake in Lacey Township is coming up on Oct. 23.

The dog-friendly event comes courtesy of Justin Rand, an Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park volunteer. Proceeds go to the Zoo for the care of the animals.

"Everyone who works to make the RP4K9 a success appreciates your efforts to improve the lives of Popcorn Park's animals," according to post on the Run the Pines For Canines Facebook page. "We cannot thank you enough for checking out our site, participating in a past or future race, or for telling a friend to join us on race day. We are looking forward to another exciting morning filled with laughs, barks, and fun on October 23, 2016. The race is open to all fitness levels, so whether you run, walk, jog, or simply want to cheer at the finish line, we'd be happy to have you join us then."
