8 Charged After Fight At Lacey Materials Site: Police Blotter
The fight was one of the incidents reported in the January Lacey police blotter.

LACEY, NJ — Eight people were charged after a fight broke out at the Lacey Materials site and more incidents were reported in January, according to Lacey police.
Police released their monthly blotter, highlighting the various incidents officers respond to throughout the course of the month.

Nature: CDS Possession & Shoplifting
On January 2nd, 2025, at 0930 hours, Officer Carver responded to the Wawa, 444 Route 9 South, for an erratic female lying on the sales floor. Officer Carver arrived on scene and met with Christina Pagano (age 39), of Forked River. Officer Carver’s subsequent investigation revealed that Christina had shoplifted $35.00 worth of Wawa merchandise. After Christina was arrested, she was discovered to be in possession of CDS and Drug Paraphernalia. Christina was charged with three counts of Possession of CDS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Shoplifting. After being served with a complaint-warrant, Christina was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
Nature: Structure Fire
On January 3rd, 2025, at 1749 hours, multiple officers, including Officer Tranz, responded to 705 Signal Street for a structure fire. Upon the arrival of officers, they found the homeowner, Edward Teixeira (age 78), of Lanoka Harbor, with substantial burns. Edward was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Several agencies, including the Lacey Twp. Police Dept. Detective Bureau, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office CSI Unit, and Ocean County and State Fire Marshal’s Office assisted with the investigation.

Nature: Robbery and Simple Assault
On January 4th, 2025, at 0447 hours, several officers, including Officer Copes, responded to the Wawa, 701 Route 9 North, for a report of a physical altercation between a customer and employee. Investigation determined Joseph Wright (age 22), of Lanoka Harbor, took a pack of cigarettes from the cashiers counter and attempted to leave the store without paying for the item. A store employee confronted Joseph, which resulted in a physical altercation. Joseph then fled the store where he was ultimately located in the area by Officer Triano. Joseph was subsequently arrested and charged on a complaint warrant with Robbery and Simple Assault. Afterward, Joseph was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
Nature: Shoplifting
On January 5th, 2025, at 1802 hours, Officer Ravallo and Officer Morrone responded to the Walmart for a male shoplifter in custody. On arrival, contact was made with Walmart Asset Protection who explained Sander Schneider (age 56), of Forked River, shoplifted $114.68 worth of merchandise. Sander was arrested and charged on a complaint summons with Shoplifting. Afterward, Sander was released with a future court date.
Nature: Assault
On January 5th, 2025, at 1830 hours, Officer Tamburro conducted an investigation into an allegation of an assault with a deadly weapon in Lacey Materials. After an extensive investigation, Officer Tamburro charged Thomas Fifield (age 26), of Lakehurst, with three counts of weapons possession, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Terroristic Threats. Erik Viscito (age 20), of Lanoka Harbor, was charged with Simple Assault. Brandon Santos (age 20), of Beachwood, was charged with Simple Assault and Endangering an Injured Victim. Nicholas Marlowe (age 20), of Forked River, was charged with two counts of Simple Assault and Endangering an Injured Victim. Michael Vanpelt (age 35), of Forked River, was charged with Aggravated Assault. Joseph Kling (age 19), of Waretown, was charged with two counts of Simple Assault and Endangering an Injured Victim. Dylan Spontak (age 18), of Toms River, was charged with Simple Assault and Endangering an Injured Victim. Additionally, a 16-year-old juvenile, of South Toms River, was charged with Aggravated Assault and Weapons Possession. Each offender was charged on a complaint summons and released with a future court date.
Nature: Shoplifting
On January 6th, 2025, at 1136 hours, Officer Tranz responded to the Walmart for a male shoplifter. On arrival, contact was made with Walmart Asset Protection who indicated Shane Taggart (age 19), of Ocean Gate, shoplifted $55.95 worth of merchandise. Shane was arrested and charged on a complaint warrant with Shoplifting. Afterward, Shane was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

On January 7th, 2025, at 0925 hours, Officer Tranz responded to the Dollar Tree for a shoplifter in custody. On arrival, Officer Tranz met with ShopRite Asset Protection who indicated Britney Garbinski (age 34), of Toms River, shoplifted $75.11 worth of merchandise and exited the store. Asset Protection followed Britney to the Dollar Tree, where she shoplifted $2.73 worth of merchandise. Britney was arrested and charged with Shoplifting on two separate complaint summonses. Afterward, Britney was released with a future court date.
Nature: Theft
On January 9th, 2025, at 0658 hours, Officer Julian responded to Paradise Point and Maritime Drive for a theft of batteries. The caller indicated four Interstate D10 batteries, valued at $510.00, were stolen from his construction site. The theft is under investigation.
Nature: Shoplifting
On January 10th, 2025, at 1605 hours, Officer Plis responded to the Walmart for a shoplifter in custody. Officer Plis subsequently arrested Kenneth Nelson (age 39), of Rockville Centre, NY, for shoplifting $67.81 worth of merchandise. In addition, Kenneth was discovered to have a $500.00 warrant out of Cape May. Kenneth was processed and released with a complaint summons for shoplifting and released on his own recognizance with a new court date in Cape May.
Nature: Theft
On January 10th, 2025, at 2136 hours, Officer Hyle investigated a theft, where the victim accidently left $80.00 at the self-checkout register at the Walmart in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation concluded that Gina Innarella (age 56), of Beachwood, stole the money after the victim left the register. Gina was subsequently charged with Theft, on a Special Complaint Summons, and released with a future court date.
Nature: Warrant Arrest
On January 10th, 2025, at 2254 hours, Officer Biel arrested Charles Stork, of Lanoka Harbor, who had a $1,500.00 warrant out of Lacey Township. Unable to post bail, Charles was transported to the Ocean County Jail where he was lodged in their facility.
Nature: DWI
On January 11th, 2025, at 1802 hours, Officer Spina arrested Craig Rolak (age 49), of Berkeley, for Driving While Intoxicated after he crashed his vehicle near 1085 Laurel Blvd. Craig was released to a responsible person after being issued several summonses, to include DWI.
Nature: Theft
On January 12th, 2025, at 0409 hours, several officers, including Officer Tirella, responded to the industrial park for an alarm activation. On arrival, officers located Matthew Clinton (age 38), of Forked River, in the vicinity of the alarm activation. Although the alarm was determined to be accidental, the investigation concluded that Matthew stole a light bar from the front of a vehicle, near Tab Transmissions. Matthew was arrested and charged with Theft, burglary tools, and criminal mischief on a complaint warrant. After processing, Matthew was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he was lodged in their facility.
Nature: Shoplifting
On January 16th, 2025, at 1842 hours, Officer Lepeshko responded to Walmart for a shoplifter in custody. Officer Lepeshko subsequently arrested Roger Regensburg (age 63), of Beachwood, for shoplifting. Roger was processed on a complaint summons, and later released with a future court date.
Nature: Criminal Mischief
On January 17th, 2025, at 1212 hours, Officer Carver concluded his criminal mischief investigation involving the business Fine Lines Body Art. Officer Carver subsequently charged Robert Woetko (age 46), of Stafford Twp, and Kelly Woetko (age 33), of Stafford Twp, with criminal mischief on complaint warrants. Robert was later arrested in Stafford Township and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he was lodged in their facility.
Nature: DWI
On January 19th, 2025, at 0019 hours, Officer Gant arrested Tyler Barton (age 30), of South Toms River, for driving while intoxicated, after he crashed his vehicle on Beach Blvd, Forked River Tyler was released to a responsible person after being issued several summonses, to include DWI.
Nature: Warrant Arrest
On January 20th, 2025, at 0847 hours, Officer Nilon responded to Wawa, 444 Route 9 South for a medical call. On arrival, Officer Nilon located a Jason Deangelo (age 50), of Barnegat, who was found to have a $5,000.00 Long Beach Township warrant for his arrest. Jason was arrested and unable to post bail. Jason was turned over to the Long Beach Township Police Department where they transported him to the Ocean County Jail.

On January 23rd, 2025, at 1223 hours, Officer Swain conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9, Forked River, and discovered the driver, Danielle Laniewski (age 32), of Forked River, had a no bail warrant out of Jackson Township. Danielle was arrested and transported to the Ocean County Jail, where she was lodged in their facility.
Nature: Shoplifting
On January 24th, 2025, at 1137 hours, Officer Zacco responded to ShopRite for a report of a shoplifter who fled the store. Officer Zacco investigated the shoplifting and discovered Jesse Gibson (age 38), of Waretown, shoplifted $8.99 worth of merchandise. Jesse was arrested and charged with shoplifting on a complaint summons. Jesse was released from police custody with a future court date.
Nature: Warrant Arrest
On January 24th, 2025, at 1956 hours, Officer Spina conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road near Dover Road and discovered the driver, Johnny Hicks (age 44), of Selden, NY, had a $750.00 warrant out of Toms River. Johnny was arrested and later posted bail. Johnny was released from police custody with a future Toms River court date.
Nature: Possession/Exhibiting False Government Document
On January 24th, 2025, at 2224 hours, Officer Lepeshko responded to Caffrey’s Backyard for a report of a female that produced a fake Florida ID. At the conclusion of Officer Lepeshko’s investigation, he discovered Olivia Mazur (age 20), of Forked River, produced a false government document with the intentions of manipulating the Caffrey’s staff into believing she was over the age of 21. Olivia was subsequently arrested and charged on a complaint summons with Possessing and Exhibiting a False Government Document. She was later released from police custody with a future court date.
Nature: Warrant Arrest
On January 25th, 2025, at 1433 hours, Officer Swain conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Rd near Hoffman Avenue and discovered the driver, Stephen Haeberlein (age 42), of Little Egg Harbor, had a $750.00 warrant out of Little Egg Harbor. Stephen was arrested and later released on his own recognizance and with a future court date.
Nature: Shoplifting
On January 30, 2025, at 2000 hours, Officer Tamburro responded to Walmart for a shoplifter in custody. On arrival, Officer Tamburro discovered Stephanie Lesko (age 41), of Barnegat, shoplifted $143.00 worth of merchandise. Stephanie was arrested and charged with shoplifting on a complaint summons. Afterward, she was released from police custody with a future court date.
