Another Referendum Planned For Lacey Schools: What's In Store
Lacey residents will be asked to vote on another referendum this November regarding roofing in the district's schools:

LACEY, NJ — Following the March failure of a $92 million bond referendum, the Lacey Township School District is planning another smaller referendum to be put on the November ballot.
March's referendum had three questions which were all rejected by voters; the upcoming referendum will be just for the first question, which was only rejected by a small margin.

Board of Education President Skip Peters explained that the referendum will be for partial roofing replacements at the high school, middle school, Mill Pond School, Forked River School and Cedar Creek School. The roof at Lanoka Harbor School can last a couple years more, so they will replace the rooftop A/C there.
Other HVAC upgrades will be undertaken at the high school and middle school.

"Our roofs are still leaking bad, guys," Peters said. "We're just trying to keep the water from penetrating our buildings."
Peters said that the referendum will likely have no tax impact. The total bond will be $28.8 million.
More details are likely to come.
This question will be on the Nov. 4, 2025 ballot.
