Police: Barnegat Woman Arrested on Drug Charges had Child in Car
Barnegat woman's 3-year-old child was in vehicle as she drove through the Walmart parking lot imparied

A Barnegat woman was arrested on various drug charges after a concerned citizen found her slumped over the wheel of a vehicle.
Kerri Conroy, 25, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 15 after the citizen observed her in a vehicle parked in the lot of the Lanoka Harbor Walmart and notified the police. The concerned citizen also reported that the vehicle contained a child in a car seat.
Lacey Township police responded to the scene at 11:36 a.m. where the vehicle was then driving through the Walmart parking lot. Conroy’s 3-year-old child was in the car.

Investigation led to the arrest of Conroy. She was sent to Ocean County Jail in lieu of her $25,000 bail, with no ten percent option.
Conroy was charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana 50 grams or less, endangering the welfare of a child, driving while impaired, drugs in a motor vehicle, driving while impaired with a minor child and reckless driving.

The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded per John’s Law and DYFS was contacted to investigate.
