Bonded Dog And Cat At Popcorn Park Shelter Need A Forever Home - Together

Willie the dog and Sokka the cat need to be adopted together.

Willie the dog and Sokka the cat are being well cared for at the Popcorn Park Zoo. But shelter officials say they are so bonded with each other, they need to stay together forever.

Willie, a five-year-old boy pug mix, and Sokka, a four -year-old male black and white cat, came from the Associated Humane Societies Newark facility.

"They were surrendered by their owner, who said they no longer had time for them," according to a post on the shelter's Facebook page.

The two were briefly separated when they first arrived at the Lacey shelter so they would get their initial examinations and evaluations.

"...when they were reunited back in one of our office suites where they were staying, they were so happy to see on another that they jumped and rolled around with each other like a couple of goofballs," the post states. "These two are very close and we would never dream of separating them."

Shelter workers say Willie is a high-energy dog who is upbeat, happy and ready to make new friends. He's playful and spunky, and he's very sweet.

"Sokka is also very energetic and active," the post states. "He is very sweet, but when he reaches his limit of getting attention from you, he'll let you know it!"

Willie and Sokka will need a home with no children under 10. They don't seem to mind other dogs and cats.

They are such a great pair that would transition so easily into a good home with a family that loves them and will give them all of the love and attention that they deserve.
