Camera Valued At $2,500 Stolen From Steps Of Jiu Jitsu Building In Forked River

The Nikon D300 camera was stolen in about a minute, according to Lacey police report.

The theft took place in just about a minute.

Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to Eric Plaza at 11:32 a.m. on Nov. 26 on a report of a stolen camera. Lacey Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

The victim advised that he was taking pictures with his Nikon D300 camera at the Ocean County Brazilian Jiu Jitsu building when his camera lens began to fog up. So He left the camera unattended on the steps of the east side of the plaza outside the Jiu Jitsu building for approximately one minute in order to let the sun resolve the condensation issue in the lens, the chief said.

When he returned, the camera was gone. The camera and lens are valued at $2,500.00, DiBella said.
