Canadian Coffee Chain Set To Open In Forked River

The new store will take over the shuttered White Castle.

LACEY, NJ — A taste of Canada is coming to Ocean County with the opening of a Tim Hortons in Forked River.

Tim Hortons, a coffee chain known for its Timbits (donut holes), Iced Capps (frozen, blended coffee) and more, will take over the former White Castle at 245 N. Main St., which closed late last year.

The deal for the 2,000 square foot free-standing former White Castle space with a drive thru, was brokered by Chuck Lanyard, President and Mark Handwerker, Executive Vice President for The Goldstein Group representing the landlord, Sunrise Pointe, LP. Jennifer Harrison of NAI, Dileo Bram & Co represented the tenant.

“The new store, marks another milestone in the brand’s continued expansion across the United States,” said Goldstein. “We are proud to have played a key role in helping Tim Hortons establish its presence in Lacey-Forked River. This opening is a testament to the strong demand for Tim Hortons in New Jersey and further solidifies the brand’s position as a leader in the quick-service restaurant sector.”

It will feature both a drive-thru and an interior for customers to sit and enjoy their coffee.

An opening date was not announced.

Another Tim Hortons is set to open in Brick. Other New Jersey locations include Linden, Mahwah, Raritan, Stratford, Pennsauken and more.
