Criminal Mischief At Sunrise Beach Caused $3,000 In Damages

Someone damaged a gate at the boat ramp, police chief says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police are investigating a criminal mischief incident at the Sunrise Beach Club where someone caused $3,000 in damages, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Andrew Slota responded to the beach club on Capstan Drive in Forked River at 4:05 p.m. on Friday, July 6 on a criminal mischief report.

Members of the club told police that during the overnight hours between July 5, 2018 and July 6, 2018, the gate to the boat ramp had been intentionally damaged. The damage to the gate, fence, post, and lock is estimated at $3,000, DiBella said.
