Dachshund Turned In By Owner Because She Went Blind Needs A New Home
Eight-year-old Shay gets along just fine with no vision: Popcorn Park Zoo says

Shay, a beautiful little 8-year-old dachshund is hoping her new home will be better than her last, according to a post on the Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park Facebook page.
"She came to us after being turned in by her owner because Shay went blind," the post states. "It may be all for the best though, because Shay certainly deserves much better treatment than that."
Shay has adapted well to her blindness and gets along very well. She does not require any medical treatment for her eyes, but needs an easy-to-navigate home.

Shay is a sweet, friendly, well-behaved little dog, but she does need a home with no other dogs.
"She walks perfectly on a leash and wants nothing more than to be with you, getting lots of attention and love, as she deserves," the post states. "She will need a home with no other dogs, but she just adores people and never met anyone she didn't like. She's such a little darling that doesn't ask for much."
