Experience 'The Last Five Years' This Weekend In Forked River

LACEY, NJ — Enjoy the emotional Jason Robert Brown hit musical "The Last Five Years" featuring talented local artists in one of its last local performances before a revival hits Broadway next spring.

Dakota Reider and Elle River - "Dakota & Elle: New Jersey's Most Beloved Tenor and Soprano" - will star as leads Jamie and Cathy.

According to the duo:

An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about Cathy, a struggling actor, and Jamie, a literary prodigy as they fall in and out of love. Told over the course of five years, the show’s non-linear storytelling has Cathy starting at the end of their marriage and Jamie starting at the beginning of the relationship; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding, in the middle of the show.

A joint production between October Ensemble and Dakota & Elle Music, the show will be performed at Forked River Presbyterian Church (131 N. Main St.). Music direction is by local Ocean County artist Allison Stella.

Show times and dates are Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Free parking is available at the venue and accessible seating and a ramp to the venue are available.
