Exploring The Fall Foliage in the Forked River Mountains

Take our photo tour if you haven't been able to get out yourself to see the fall colors!

With today's storm forecast to kick up winds gusting between 40 and 50 m.p.h., we figured Thursday may have been the final shot at getting out and appreciating the fall foliage before the leaves are unceremoniously blown away.

So we flipped on the four wheel drive and headed up to the top of Forked River Mountain for a bird's-eye-view before heading back through the sand roads and up Jones Road to Black's Bridge for a few more shots.

We encountered no other vehicles, two deer and (by the end of the trip) the need for a car wash. Enjoy.
