Events in and around Lacey Township

1. Register today for a weekend in Washington DC from April 29 to May 1 courtesy of Ocean County College. The trip includes a visit to Mount Vernon, Smithsonian Institute Museums, Arlington National Cemetery, continental breakfasts at the hotel restaurants on Saturday and Sunday, lunch on Friday and Sunday, and dinner on Friday and Saturday. 2. America’s KESWICK in Whiting is having GriefShare at 10 a.m. DivorceCare is at 7 p.m.
3. Today is Family Fun Night at Friendly’s on Hooper Avenue in Toms River. A portion of the restaurants sales between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. will benefit Toms River North boy’s volleyball team.

4. There is a photography exhibition at the Ocean County Artist Guild. “My Minds Eye” features the works of Ben De Marco, a freelance photographer for many publications throughout the state. De Marco is the founder of the Brick Photo Workshop and has instructed photography at Toms River North and Point Pleasant Boro adult programs. For more information call 732-270-3111.
5. There is an Island Singers Community Chorus Rehearsal at the Village Lutheran Church in Lanoka Harbor from 7:30 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. All are welcome.
