'Fed Up' With Overdoses Event To Be Held In Lacey This Week
The third annual International Awareness Day will be held by Young People In Recovery on Thursday

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ Are you worried about what seems to be an ever growing number of drug overdoses?
Then come to the third annual "Fed Up" local overdose awareness event hosted by Young People in Recovery of Ocean County from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at the Lacey United Methodist Church, at 203 Lacey Road in Forked River.
The local event is one of many being held nationally. The event will focus on education and awareness, and will remember those who have already been lost to the opioid epidemic.

Speakers for the event will include Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato, Congressman Tom MacArthur and Lacey Township Police Chief Michael C. DiBella, and speakers from treatment centers, recovery groups, and local clergy.
Representatives from Lifeline Recovery Support Services, Hope Sheds Light, Young People in Recovery of Ocean County, Recovery Centers of America, the DART Prevention Coalition, NJ Reentry Corporation, Integrity House, Mental Health Association in New Jersey Inc, and America's Keswick will also be on hand.

The free event will also feature a candlelight vigil for those lost to overdoses.
