LACEY, NJ — "Jerzey Jim" Farrell wowed judges in the first episode of NBC's "Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge" with his Dodge Charger. Now, the Forked River local has the chance to win it all - he's one of three competing in the show's finale.

A lifelong car enthusiast, Farrell's iconic Dodge Charger (which also holds a special meaning to him) won over the judges and in his appearance in the show's premiere, he came away with a $25,000 prize.

Fans have to tune in to NBC on Aug. 8 to see if Farrell wins it all. The prize? $50,000 and the opportunity to have his car turned into a real life Hot Wheels diecast car.

But the money doesn't matter.

"I actually offered to forfeit the $50,000 if I won," Farrell told NBC Insider. He said it didn't matter because he would waste it on another car. The Hot Wheels car was the important part.

His Charger meant so much to him because it represented time spent with his father. He previously told Patch that the show gave him the opportunity to finish the story he began with his dad 40 years ago.

"All I wanted was to walk down the aisle of a dept store with my kids and have them say ‘That’s the car that my dad built,’" Farrell told NBC Insider. "I want that feeling more than money could ever do."

To see if Farrell's dream comes true, tune into NBC at 10 p.m. on Aug. 8 and on Peacock the next day for the "Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge" season finale.
