Gille Park Field Named After Late Lacey Softball Coach
Field One in Gille Park will soon have a new name - the Repetti Field, after late Lacey Girls Softball Coach Andrew Repetti.
LACEY, NJ — Field One in Gille Park will soon have a new name - Repetti Field.
The field is set to be renamed after Andrew Repetti, the late longtime Lacey Girls Softball coach. A resolution was passed regarding this at a recent Lacey Township Committee meeting.
The league had requested the change earlier this year, after Repetti passed away, Township Clerk Veronica Laureigh explained.

Repetti had a large impact on the league, she said. According to his obituary, he served as coach for 25 years.
"He deserves that park," said Councilman Peter Curatolo.

Repetti died on July 6 at the age of 72. In addition to being a longtime coach, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Republican Club of Lacey, according to his obituary. He also was an Air Force veteran, having served in Vietnam. He moved to Forked River in 1987.
