Halloween Skate Park Party On For Tonight At Gille Park

The Lacey Township Recreation Department and Lacey Police Department will hold a Halloween skate park party tonight between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

The event will feature a Halloween costume contest that will be judged at 7:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place for the best costumes, courtesy of the recreation department, the Lacey Township Municipal alliance and Tom and Dee's Italian Ice, the chief said.

Lighting will be provided by the police department, with help from the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor fire departments. The Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on the scene.

The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates. Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear their helmets in the skate park at all times

, and follow all of the posted skate park rules.
