Help Boomer, At Popcorn Park Shelter, Find A Forever Home
It's National Dog Month and International Dog Day, and Patch wants to help 1,000 homeless dogs find loving homes by the end of September.

LACEY, NJ — It's International Dog Day, and while many folks have four-legged pals to share their homes, Patch is kicking off an effort we hope you'll join: We want to help 1,000 dogs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania find their forever homes.
Boomer is one of those dogs. He's at the Popcorn Park Animal Shelter of the Associated Humane Societies (1 Humane Way, Forked River).
The Associated Humane Popcorn Park Shelter found a good home for Boomer in 2013. However, when his owners passed away, he moved back to the shelter.

Boomer is a 9-year-old chihuahua mix. He's well-behaved, easy-going and housebroken, according to the Popcorn Park Shelter
"Boomer is not used to shelter life so when you see him inside, he may be a bit barky," the shelter wrote on its Facebook page. "Ask to meet him outside and just give him a minute to check you out. Once he gets to know you, Boomer is an absolute doll."

He will need a home with no young kids or other dogs, since he hasn't been around them much.
